Fifteen Percent Full

I wrote all the lyrics I’ve ever written in my purple book (17 songs), and it’s only 15% full. That’s a lot of lyrics I still need to write. I better get started.

I’ll mark this goal done and that I want to do it again.

Writing these lyrics was a test for my perfectionism. I made some mistakes, but I didn’t let it get me down. I just crossed through them and kept writing. I’m disappointed in the ink stain on the cover, though. I wonder if I can find something that will take ink out of leather without making it worse.

Okay... some more math

41 years – 15 years (before I started writing) = 26

26 years ÷ 17 songs = 1.5 years per song

96 future songs x 1.5 years each = 144 years

That’s a gross. This isn’t looking good.

The ink stain is just a dot with a smear radiating out of it in a straight line. I wonder what the researchers will get from that.

Well… 43T is also a time sucker, so it might be more like a factor of .2. That would be around 3 songs a year. That sounds more reasonable.
