Visit wineries in all 50 states (read all 2 entries…)
7 down 43 to go 3 years ago

I love wine and wine tasting and try to include wine tasting in my vacations. The regions I haven’t visited yet that I’m looking forward to most are the wineries on Long Island, in Virginia and the ones in Ohio.

My tick list of visited wineries is:

California
Oregon
Washington
Arizona
New Mexico
Massachusettes
Hawaii

Are there wineries in all 50 states? I live in ND and I don’t think I’ve heard of one here. Well I guess there is a place in town where wine is made although I’m not sure I’d count it for much more than making something that can be called wine. If there is a place you’d like to visit though you have a place to stay at my house.

There appear to be five wineries in ND

Thank you for the offer of a place to stay. I don’t have any plans to visit your area yet, but if I do I’ll drop you a line.

I found a great website for researching the wineries in different states. It’s http://www.wineweb.com/winery-search.cfm
and I just found it this morning. I was working on that goal before seeing your comment.

When I searched for wineries in ND it turned up two near Fargo, two near Knox (which is near Rugby) and one near Bowman. They seem to be spread across a wide area. It might be a fun weekend trip to visit them if you don’t mind a fair amount of driving.
