Polyphasic Sleep
Worth doing!
Doing it again — 1 year ago
A while back, I did this for a couple weeks. It was great. I felt great, I was sleeping ~2 hours per 24 hour period, and I had more energy to exercise. I was living the polyphasic(uberman to be more specific) life. It had even taken less effort than most people seem to need. For some reason it wasn’t all that hard to acclimate myself to the schedule.
Then my speakers went out. I had been using my computer as my alarm, and was not to the point where I was waking up automatically every 30 minutes. This put a stop to it as I had no reliable way to wake up after my naps.
Now, I’m going to try to get back to that. I actually just finished my first 25 minute nap(I used 20 minute naps before, but I’m going to try 25). I didn’t sleep during the 25 minutes, but I didn’t really expect to. It was more of just a step towards getting my body used to the schedule.
There’s are different kinds of polyphasic sleeping, so I was wondering what everyone is doing. I already mentioned I’m doing the Uberman cycle, and I think that’s the most well known one.
