change people's lives with my writing

I would like to be published so that my work can have a far-reaching audience and be taken seriously, but more than that and independently of whether it is widely distributed, I would like people to read my stories and really be affected by them. Some people I know say this has already happened, but I would like it to continue, with people I’ll never meet as well as friends who are near and dear.

Great Entry!

Time being the finite commodity that it is, what greater compliment could you receive than to have a person you have never met spend a few nonrefundable hours of their life on the couch with your book?

Unless, of course, it is having that person continue thinking about your message even after they have put your book back on the shelf.
