1 down, 4 to go. I ate at Nobu in London for the first time in my life and I must say wow. Their signature black cod in miso is out of this world and the starter of tuna and scallop chips was marvelous. The only possible let down was their sushi, as whilst it was very good, it was no better than some of the sushi I have had on the west coast of the USA. Service was amazing too, good advice, very well looked after.

The Fat duck is ace – but since people have been raving so much about it really really hard to get into. I think there is a two month waiting list but you can still try. If you are budget conscious (I know I am) then the lunch menu provides excellent value whilst still getting to appreciate the sense of the place. I can highly recommend the foie gras starter and the tarte tartin for pudding.
