I went to Simmons College for my Master’s in LS. Didn’t like the experience but I love being a librarian.

I would be interested to know what you didn’t like about Simmons. I’m currently in my first year there. I like it so far, but I’m only taking one course per semester, so most of the time I feel a bit separated from the “culture” there.
I didn’t find the program very challenging and found some of the professors to be less than professional. One male prof seemed to hold open disdain for the profession and was only interested in his own CI program. I got the feeling that I was paying $25K for a “union card” and not to learn about librarianship. I have friends who had good experiences at Simmons but I think the outcomes really depend on how lucky/informed one is when they select classes. Some profs are terrible while some other really excel.
