I love the Polish language and culture. My mother is polish and I was raised speaking a relatively mixed version of Polish. During college I got frustrated that my mother rarely spoke Polish with me anymore and I really wanted to improve, so I took my savings and went to Krakow for a semester at the Uniwersytet Jagielloński. This last summer I spent four weeks with my babcia in Katowice and we never had a misunderstanding (she speaks absolutely NO english). This goal is amazing and good luck to all of you who are attempting this! Dobre szczęście!

well...
you can’t translate good luck as dobre szczęście, good luck is ‘powodzenia’ :)
haha!
opps! Thanks for the correction! I’ll keep that in mind! How embarassing!

it’s okay, if you’re not Polish, it’s nothing bad, I make mistakes in English, too, and they’re much more embarassing than this one! you’re great! :)
well,
I am half Polish, but I was raised in the states speaking english. My Polish is better when I’ve been speaking it a bit, but I really have NO ONE to speak english to. It’s sad. I wish I didn’t make those mistakes, but I need someone to correct me! So thank you!
