I just finished my fourth year of medical school, am essentially done with medical school and am waiting for what we call “the match.” Not knowing where the heck I’m gonna be and what the heck I’m gonna be doing as a doctor is driving me nutty. I’m trying to approach this in a very Muslim sort of way. I’ve done my bit and will leave the rest to God. I need to just let go and trust that whatever happens, I will be happy, insha’Allah.

Prehaps I should look into muslim beliefs. Leaving the rest to God, I like the sounds of that. Destiny maybe?
Islam is very similar to Budhism (sp?) in that it encourages doing your best, being your best and letting go. It is a tough religion to get to know because people get caught up in the cultures over the religion and the Qur’an is not an easy read. The best thing to do is read up on its philosophies and principles. If you ever feel compelled to read up on it, try to make sure its a book written by an actual Muslim and not someone who studied Islam for like their master’s degree…lol… There’s a huge difference in the accuracy, it’s kinda sad what they teach about my religion in colleges :(
