So even though a lovely friend sent me a kit in the springtime, I started it on 12/27. Tonight I pretty much finished all of the soldering on the board, and can start in on wiring to the controls tomorrow. Since I also need to finish some last-minute holiday gifts (my immediate family always has a late celebration), I might not finish before the 1st, but I am on track to finish this as a goal.
