I know what you mean, I found it very condescending and all the blessing was a bit much. I have now adopted the “f… when are they arriving approach” Invite people round for supper then run round like a mad thing 15 mins before they arrive. Seems to work, does rely on one remembering to invite people round. Has a good effect on Neil as well he tidies up for guests just not for us. Guess Im like that too
