Listing goals—do you call that organization or procrastination?
I once came across a quote that went something to the effect of “efficiency is intelligent laziness.” I’d like to counter that with inefficiency is just outright laziness. But then I don’t really think of 43things in terms of efficiency or inefficiency. There’s a fine line between whether my goals are things that I can legitimately accomplish or whether they’re just mind bumps with which I can distract myself. I seem to enjoy listing the silly, abstract, and unachievable kind of goals – you know, the ones that let me go off on outrageous tangents such as this one.
