Well…It has been a long time since I finished anything well ahead of deadline, be it preparing for an exam, washing the dishes, doing the laundary, go to the bus station and catch the next bus….everytime I set a deadline to finish something, I end up cramming at the last moment…so far I have been lucky, in a sense, that I have been able to make just in time (I finished preparing my presentation slides for my phd defence 45 minutes before the exam!)...but I think sooner or later, something bad is gonna happen, I mean one of these days i will not be able to make it on time and might end up losing a job or a wonderful opportunity…so I will start slow…I will do the dishes immediatley after eating, no matter what other urgent thing (i.e. excuse to procrastinate:-) might be waiting…if I succeed with this, say for a couple of weeks, I will try to take care of more and more routine tasks that I normally procrastinate…

Baby steps work!
Take it from a recovering procrastinator! :).... Start with something small and use the glow of its achievement as a stepping board to bigger things. Best of luck!
