I love singing…and I write lyrics quite often, I have more than a hundrend of my own, waiting to be sung one day…the problem is I imitate a lot and I find it hard to sing in my own voice…for example, few years ago, I was so much into Bob Dylan, I almost ended up sounding like him…and recently my voice has become more and more like a crossover between Sting and James brown…though it is a good quality to imitate, it is a disadvantage if you cant manage to sing a song in your own style and in your own voice…so what I want to do is to practice my voice on a regular basis (apart from the hours of singing I do every day), say 3-4 times a week, using scales and other tools (I have at least ten CDs for voice training)...so that I can find my true voice and be liberated from being just an imitator….
