Coperas cove, Texas is a small town right next to Fort Hood, Texas. The biggest army base in the free world I’m told…like I care. I have lived here for 18 years, since it’s an army town I have watched friends leave, and new kids show up, and been one of the few that remained.
I just don’t want to live here in the land of no-oppurtunity forever. It might work for my mom, but it just doesn’t suit me.

go now
run don’t walk. Before you know it you’ll be settling down and twenty years will go by quicker then you think.
I wish I had gone from my town when I was younger, before kids and schools and that crap. RUN!!!!!
I agree
Get outta there. I grew up in the vicinity of a large air-force base. I am very sensitive to my environment and I was miserable in that awful town. I got out as quickly as humanly possible and never looked back. That was 25 years ago. Since then I have been a bit of a wanderer, but I like wandering. I’ve lived in some interesting places (and a few not so interesting) but I’ve gone where my heart has led me. Your heart might be buried beneath a rock on a Nevada ranch, or perched on a high shelf in an apartment in Brooklyn, or it might be halfway around the world somewhere. Wherever it is, find it, be with it. Be somewhere you love.
