Driving from Virginia Beach to California was amazing!!!!! My best friend just got out of the Air Force and had to drive home to California so I took the trip with him, like any good friend would do. We left Virginia on Saturday and arrived in California on the following Saturday. Along the way we spent a day and a night in Nashville, Memphis, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. I highly suggest taking this road trip across country, we had an absoulute blast! Driving for 12 hours a day turned out to be way easier than we thought. We laughed our way through America! Just getting to drive through all of these places you’ve heard about or seen on TV was worth the drive in it’s self. You get to meet new people from new places and live a day in their shoes. Tennessee-loved it, New Mexico-hated it. If you ever go to Amirillo Texas you have to stop at resturant called The Big Texan, the have a 72 ounce steak the serve there and if you eat it in under an hour you get it for free! Granted a 72 ounce steak is a bit over kill, but what a great story. They put you up on a stage in the middle of the resturant with a giant digital clock behind you for all of the guests to see.Don’t think about driving across the country, just do it! The trip is well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
