I really need to speak to Anthony and personally thank him for the great example and influence he has been for me during my recovery from drug addiction. Does anyone have a mailing address or know of a way I can contact him? I also would kike to know where he calls “home” in the NA program. I recently searched the Hollywood area the week before Christmas and the week after the new year, hoping I would bump into him. I frequented places such as “The Rainbow”, “The Newsroom”, and random NA meetings, but to my disappointment, I left LA without meeting him.
I did meet him once in 1991. We were behind the Oscar Myer Theater in Madison, WI after the Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and Chili Peppers show when I spotted John hanging by himself outside of the tourbus. Shortly after talking with John, Chad, Flea, and Anthony came out and we got pictures, autographs, and got to give Flea a beaded necklace for his birthday. At that time I had no idea how much of an influence Anthony would become to me. I wish I could go back in time, because there are so many more things I would of said to him at that moment, but I didn’t know about them then.
