This book interested me for several reasons. (1) because detoxing has been on my “to-do list” for a while now and (2) because the author received her (holistic health) training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which I’ve been eyeing up myself. I plowed through the dang thing! granted, the peaceful, intropective nature of Kripalu certainly allowed me to quickly absorb and contemplate the points in this book. but I also think it’s just a well-written, insightful book. since this is a topic (holistic health) that I’m very interested in, much of what she presents wasn’t news to me, but she gave me just enough new ideas to motivate me to try things I didn’t know and continue on with the healthy things I already do. and I want to stress that they are not all food-type nutritional things. her approach definitely lives up to her holistic background. though I completed the book, took copious notes, and have already implemented some of her strategies, I plan to go back and reread it a chapter per week to fully incorporate what I’ve learned and create some new, solid habits.
