What is ki
Ki is the life force energy that exists in all living and non-living things.Ki is stored in what is called the hara or tan tien which ever you prefer(hell you can call it ki holding thingy I don’t care its the same thing)this is a spining vortex that is located 2 or so inches below your navel(belly button)when you absorb ki this is where it is stored (there are other ways to store it though like in your aura which is the outer layers of your body if you watch dbz its the egg shaped light around them when they power up). This energy can and is manipulated everyday sometimes you don’t realize it. Has someone every walked into a room and suddenly theres a burst of energy there?
Meditation
First if your going to use ki at all your going to need to know how to meditate. You should do this as often as possible, it helps you to relax and get to know your body more. This is how you should meditate, I suggest being on the floor (but you don’t always have to do it this way) while sitting on the floor cross your legs so that one leg is on top of the other (it doesn’t matter which one which ever is more comfortable to you) if your listening to music make sure that it is calm or relaxing and quiet, no music should be best (no heavy metal) also make sure your back is kept straight it at all times(it doesn’t have to be straight enough to cause pain just don’t slouch). While meditating you should try to relax every muscle in your body (sometimes you’d be suprised how tense you really are) and try to clear your mind, when I say clear your mind I don’t mean to stop thinking that is almost impossible but just try to concentrate on how relxed you are and try to make yourself even more relaxed. A good way to do this is to concentrate on your breathing (concentration is different then thinking in that you ponder instead taking quick glances of thought) and count back from 10 everytime you hit zero take a deep breath and release some more tension then count up from zero to ten and do the same. You can also do the same thing sitting down (with your feet flat on the floor) and when your good enough you can do it pretty much standing up.
Visualization
To visualize is like an advanced state of meditation as in you have to of pretty much mastered meditation to do it. When your in your most relaxed state from meditating you can “visualize” something happening to you or whatever you want. You can do this using anything but heres an example think of a glass of water in front of you, try to pick it up by thinking about it (your still relaxed and meditating) take a sip of the water and feel yourself getting less and less thirsty (NOTE: it would help to be a little thirsty when you do this)
Collecting ki
there are many methods to collect or draw in ki some of which I will teach you here come from radical ki not the traditional ki and the difference is that traditional is obviously traditional radical is more like the stuff from dbz (don’t forget though that ki is always flowing through your body so its not like you don’t have any right now).
Gounding
Stand shoulder width apart outside on the ground, visualize roots coming from your feet into the earth. Once you’ve done this visualize that the roots are absorbing ki and sending it to your hara, now you have some ki do what you want with it.
Ki breathing
For this technique all you have to do is concentrate on your breathing and visualize ki going into your body with each breath.
Sun ki
Visualize ki from the sun being absorbed into your hara and into your aura. It also helps to hold your hands up to the sun.
Making a ki ball
First I would suggest grounding yourself if your a begginer, after that concentrate on your hara then send the ki to your hands, form this ki that is at your hands into a ball and voila a ki ball. You shouldn’t have your hands clamped together it should be about 2 to 4 inches apart, after you’ve made the ki ball you would feel tingling on your hands it should feel good and warm this may also be felt all throughout your body(note must have done well on meditation to do this if you don’t get it your first try keep trying). What you do with the ki ball is up to you; you can do a ki blast(hard for a begginer) or you can heal someone to heal someone just will the ki ball to heal them and push it into their body preferably where the body part hurts. Next thing to try is making two ki balls this is more advanced and pretty much self explanatory.
Ki blast
This technique can kill someone so be careful. First make a ki ball, visualize a beam of light going through what your blasting at, then tighten all your muscles in your body and jerk your hands forward willing the ki ball or blast to hurt the opponent. Don’t be close to the opponent when this is done or your sure to kill them also don’t be surprised if this doesn’t work this is the hardest technique to get down.
Ki flame
Concentrate on your hara, speed up the spin of the vortex, once you can’t handle it getting faster anymore burst out the ki all over your body. Visualize it as a flame and this should definently power you up, not to hard of a technique but worth it. An advance version of this is just tightening up your muscles and then bursting out all the ki after you’ve spun your hara faster.
Jing
Jing is the subclass of ki it is the more physical attack and the more physical substance. To make jing send ki into your bones straight into the bone marrow try to make this ki condense once it can’t condense anymore you have jing. Now while transporting this like as a jing blast (same as ki just jing) you must send it through your bones instead of just your arms, this makes your bones a transport system and makes for an even stronger attack. Note: DON’T MAKE A JING BALL WITH THIS IT CAN MESS UP YOUR HANDS!
Ki shield
Focus on the area you want the shield, send ki to that area, then start to convert the ki to jing once the ki is jing burst it out around the area and try to form it into a plate. This is a hard tech so don’t be surprised if you don’t get it the first or so times.
Please be careful
Please be careful when doing these techniques, use common sense, I’am not responsible for you actions.

1. What is Ki?
Ki is a Japanese word which is written with a Chinese character so there is a Chinese meaning and a Japanese meaning of the word Ki which are very different which creates much confusion. Of course for the Chinese meaning -I suppose that the Chinese pronounce it as Qi or something like that-you better ask the Chinese people, but since I am Japanese I prefer to use the word Ki in the Japanese way. So in the Japanese meaning Ki is something which is unclear, something that cannot be defined. In daily life it means something like feeling , sentiment or emotions or ideas which are not yet clear but will become clear later. Or some motivation, etc, etc. That is why to understand Ki is very important in the sense that it is a process of understanding one’s own life and understanding ourselves.
From my understanding …..
you use the same energy in Ki as in Tk
