Not far from the France borderline, and I just got a set of CDs “to learn French” in the hopes that it will help me refresh my French.
The one time I have been to Paris I discovered that my once fluent French was at best barely functional. That bugged me. It’s gotta change!
Je regrette. The cedilla on my keypad is broken. Or the funtion on it in Alt codes.
One thing which has helped me (Une chose qui m’a aidé c’est écouter et regarder les films de DVD en francais) is to listen and watch the films in French.
Also, you might join l’Alliance Francaise via the French Consulate in Chicago, or look online.
