He’s well known and I always assumed he had a decent career with the Sox, but out of all the time he spent in Boston he only put together 3 full mediocre years. Jeff Reardon broke the all-time saves record while with the team. I actually re-learned that one. I remember that year now. I bought his baseball card because of that. He didn’t hold the record very long though, Lee Smith grabbed it shortly after that. Dick Radatz and Bob Stanley were probably the two best relievers that the Sox ever had.
