Catalogue My DVD’s

I have 390 DVD’s and keeping track of them and picking one is a nightmare. So I spent a while trying to find a DVD cataloguing application. I eventually found a fantastic DVD cataloguing that has an extensive DVD database, is very easy to use and free!. The DVD Profiler by InterVocation Software: http://www.intervocative.com/

Some Features:
  • Easy DVD entry (using the bar code number – Not sure if there is a barcode reader available, but typing in the number does not take very long; I entered my entire collection in only a few hours)
  • IMDB level of details for DVD’s
  • Links to IMDB
  • All Regions & Languages
  • DVD Loan system
  • Can backup your collection to local file
  • Can backup to their website (My collection online)
  • Search and Filter options
  • Rate your DVD’s
  • Create reports and charts on your collection
  • Tool for helping you pick a DVD to watch

If you have a lot of DVD’s it worth a look.

Comments:

I don't know when you're going to respond...

but since you have a huge collection, may I ask?

Which is your favourite in each of these categories:
Classic?
Contemporary?
Critical appeal?
Mass appeal?
Guilty pleasure?
Of all time?

Just wondering. =)

I don’t know! I love most of them.

I have sat her for 10 minutes trying to make a short list and it keeps getting bigger and has no order:

  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • The Poseidon Adventure
  • American Beauty
  • American History X
  • An American Werewolf in London
  • Lethal Weapon 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Seven Year Itch
  • Some Like it Hot
  • How to Marry a Millionaire
  • Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
  • Fifth Element
    ...

I don’t know.
What about you?
