.....and I was floored at how easy it was to pick out the colors.
-Smoked Oyster in the kitchen
-Lenox Tan in dining/living room
-Kingsport Gray on the fireplace wall in the living room & the big blank wall in the dining room where I’ll hang the black & whites of the kids. She convinced me to get one more so I’ll have three big frames of 4 8×10s along that blank wall.
-Camouflage (a light sage green) in the foyer and up the stairs
-Templeton Gray (teal/gray) in the powder room
-Linen White for the ceilings
-stick with the Woodrow Wilson Presidential White that I’d already chosen for the trim
We were done in just over an hour. Its so great to have a whole plan for the downstairs. It cost me $87, but saved me TONS of time and saved me from making some really bad choices! She even nixed the backsplash idea. We had extra floor tiles leftover, and I was toying with using them to dress up the backsplash area. She said bad choice and recommended tin tiles instead. We can’t afford anything right now, so will just paint. But I’m going to keep my eyes open for affordable salvaged tin tiles.
Wahoo! A great day at the house!!! I also had about an hour of time to put in cleaning up the basement. Its been a wreck since the plumbers came in to put in the outside faucets. Cleaned, vacuumed and organized. Made a good dent.
