Quit Smoking
The first week is the hardest 4 years ago

I find the key is, go out with a BANG! On your last day, smoke like 2 packs. That way, the first couple days of your qutting attempt, the very idea of smoking makes you ill. Then, by the time you feel like having a cig, you can tell yourself “I’ve already made it 2-3 days, I gotta keep on powering through”

Also…if you’re like me, the drinking + smoking combo was the lethal one….once you get hooked on having a dirt while you booze, it can be incredibly tough to stop….so it’s never a bad thing to take a week off of the sauce, when you quit, to avoid that urge.

Best of luck….and please, feel free to hate me for having made it through….I am quite sure that’s another of the necessary ingredients to quitting successfully—truly loathing those who made it out, while secretly wanting to be just like them.
