I bought a DLP online from a distributor of refurbished audio/video products. I love it. It’s great. Manufacturer-refurbished products can be much less expensive (like in this case), and you still get the same product, just not new. I do projection in a fairly large space in a fairly well-light environment, so I needed at least 1600 lumens.

Which model do you have?
I’m currently in the final stages of picking out a projector and think that once I settle on a particular projector, I’ll look into refurbished options. Do you recommend a particular distributor as well?
Re: Which model do you have?
I got the PT LC56U (http://www.fullcompass.com/Products/pages/SKU—61165/). I can’t find it on the refurbished site I bought it from anymore (http://www.electrified.com/). If there’s one thing I regret about it, however, it’s that I would have preferred a projector with a broader beam so I don’t have to have it as far from the screen/projection surface. But I can’t complain about the price at which I got it.
