Remember middle school? I remember all my flaky friends and I laying on the family room floor singing along to BoysIIMen. We thought we were cool. But how deceptively mediocre. When I found NPR I knew I was home. Short stories, world music, politics, soul, jazz, classical, folk, funny stories about the prairie, how to fix your car, word games, and can we say BBC News? Where else can you lazily absorb all the things a well-informed, well-rounded person needs to know? This is a good goal. Turn off the TV and turn on the Radio. You’ll never feel better about yourself.
