Often not saying anything can be used to mislead and misdirect.
I do think truth is an exploration of what is real. Misleading someone not only is hurtful but is often only protecting yourself, not the person you are misleading. I was once told that I was brutally honest. I realize now it was not in my honesty, it was in D not telling the whole story to me and not allowing me to have my own opinion, my own thoughts.

If you can not be honest with someone, not including those little lies not to hurt someone’s feelings like that’s an interesting tie you have on- to me those are allowed, then there may be a deeper problem. Why can’t you be honest?
