be vegan
Easier than you think! 2 years ago

I’m actually currently deployed to the Middle East, and being vegan isn’t even that hard for me!

I’ve been vegan for a little over two years and I feel so much better—healthwise and mentally. It’s soooo worth it!

Comments:

Hi when yoú’re vegan, is it tha same as being vegetarian i.e. do you only refrain from eating meat chicken etcetera or do you also not eat/drink milk eggs and stuff like that?

BTW I could’nt help but notice you’re in the army…..deployed in the middle east. I hope I’m not too forward but I can’t contain my curiousity. The army and especially the dutch marines have always had a great attraction to me. (my uncle is a marine officer) Maybe you’d like to tell me something about the things you’ve experienced or how it feels to be out there? If you don’t want to talk about it I’ll stick with the question above.

greetings Yoahkeem

Hey Yoahkeem

Being vegan is not just a diet but a lifestyle. It basically means staying away from anything with animal products. So, no eggs or milk is part of it. :)

We had some Dutch soldiers with us when I was last deployed. Very smart fellows! I don’t mind talking about my experiences here at all.

Basically, when people are taken care of they are happy. If they get clean water, food, electricity, and are making a good living to take care of their families, they are peaceful.

When they aren’t getting what they need, they are pissed. They want to get at whoever they believe is making them unhappy. That’s the basis of all problems I see here. Sure, there are a lot of other elements involved, but that’s the core problem that I’ve seen personally.

Hope either of those answers help ya!
