Well, I noticed that there’s no way you can achieve a flat stomach by NOT altering your diet. I used to hate drinking water because it made me feel very bloated and I hated my bloated stomach but i realized that they all come out in the end and by morning, when you wake up, the bloatedness disappears.
I eat way less than before. I never ever overindulge on somthing because I’ve noticed that that increases the stomach size – and unlike the effect of water, it doesnt seem to decrease. So, I eat very small portions for every meal. I eat until I’m not hungry and that’s it. When I start to feel my stomach get larger, I just put down my fork and run away from my food.
I think this is the most important thing. When you increase your stomach size, you tend to eat the next time, to fill up your increased stomach size. And if you happen to overindulge again, you eat more and more each time. That’s why I like to eat vvvvvverry small portions. I have 2 daily diet plans:
1. I eat 8+ meals per day. And each meal would be tiny. Like, 1/2 sandwich, 3 mouthfuls of pasta, etc… Also, this increases my metabolism because you have to keep feeding your body for it to increase its metabolism. For this one, I dont really eat till I’m satisfied because I KNOW I’m going to be eating heaps on that day. I just eat so it fills up my stomach a little bit. I make sure that each meal takes a LONG time. I do this by drinking water after bite after bite.
2. I eat 3 meals per day. And each meal is slightly bigger than the above diet, but the aim is jus the same: eat till I’m content. I usually revert to this plan when my day’s schedule is heavy and I have no time to eat.
And also, I try to incorporate protein in my meals. Because 30% of protein burns calories, as opposed to 2% fat and 5% carbs (carbs? I cant remember). And also, it helps in creating muscle so I notice more ab muscles in my stomach after working out. I love chicken because it satisfies my hunger, tastes good, and acts as my protein supplement.
And also, dark chocolate (Eg 70% cocoa) acts as an excellent antioxidant and an appetite suppressent. So if you ever have the need to binge like crazy (for diet1), eat 1 piece of dark chocolate, wait 3min. If you are still craving for some more, repeat again. But I assure you, after like 5 min, you will NOT be craving for anything :)
