why read the theory of the leisure class when you can live it?
although money isn’t everything to me, it is the means to a desired end. Freedom from the wage slavery of the white collar technocrat.
but I wouldn’t spend it on stupid shit like jewelry, or handbags or shoes or new cars, although I would buy myself a Patek Philipe, and maybe a Toureg ;P
Having money and using it wisely, but not flaunting it as a socio-economic indicator would be my preferred financial policy. I wouldn’t want people to know that I had “money” because it becomes a burden and a barrier.
I would use it to become gainfully unemployed; I would read every book I have ever wanted to read, take my family on a round the world tour, buy a farm, own beach front property.
