Weight loss: 0

Gaah! I was so tempted not to post any update for February, but I’m no coward. I’m maintaining my good eating habits – I don’t eat complex carbohydrates or sugar anymore – so that can’t be the reason for the stall. The big problem is that I’m not exercising. I’m also finding it much more difficult to adapt my diet to the food here in France. I started over with my diet in January at home and now I have to do exactly the same thing here again. It’ll just take me some time to get it right. I suppose, looking on the bright side, I didn’t backslide and have kept off the weight I lost in January.

I’m not going to post a weight loss goal here for March. I’ll still have one, but am going to keep it private, just to see how that works.

You Can Do It

Maintaining weight loss is just as important as taking off more pounds. I’m proud of your success so far, and know that you will adapt. One of the things I’ve found is that my body adapts to my eating habits and then my weight loss stalls. I’ve been varying my calories from day to day so that my body doesn’t know what to expect. This has helped my stalled weight loss kick back in, while also helping me not stress out about days when I eat more than I want to eat.

...really, posting that entry yesterday was the wake-up call I needed. I just didn’t work hard enough last month, so I didn’t deserve to lose anything. This month will be different. Following your weight-loss progress, I’ve been really impressed – you’re a great role model to have for this goal!
