Learn everything you can about plus size modeling and the modeling industry in general. I think that many of the big agencies might carry a few plus-size models. I could be wrong. Be sure to research any agencies you are thinking about going with thoroughly. So many are scams! There shouldn’t be any upfront fees to model. They get paid (between 10%-20%) when you get paid. The only investment you will have are headshots and having outfits available. You might end up doing a lot of commercial modeling, too.

The agency will likely provide name of photographers they like to use. I recommend practicing with a friend first for awhile. Headshots are expensive.

I live in a small city, but I studied acting, so I know a lot of the same ideas are applied. I haven’t been involved lately, so just do a lot of research!

Just beware – if it sounds too good to be true, someone’s trying to sell you something.
