Yesterday I took the ferry over to Brodick on Arran. Watched the seagulls on deck and ate buttered toast in the restaurant.

Walked up Glen Rosa. So peaceful. So Beautiful. Sat on a rock and ate oatcakes and cheese. I will come back soon, to climb Goat Fell.

Explored Brodick Castle gardens. Beautiful rhododendrons. Beatiful everything. And so quiet because the castle doesn’t open for a few more weeks.

Walked along the beach. Went paddling … for a few seconds. It was Freezing! Sat on the beach eating fruit scones and drinking earl grey tea. The sun was still shining brightly. Watched a few boats sailing into Brodick.

And on the way back, a bowl of chips and a mug of tea in the ship’s restaurant.

This is the stuff life should be made of.
