learn to ride better
Riding - who knew it took so much effort?

People in the movies make riding on horseback look so easy! After getting some horses and trying to ride, it’s not as easy at it looks!

I can ride at a walk, but go faster than that and I always feel like I’m going to fall off! So, it’s off to riding class for me! It starts this week and I am so excited to be doing it!

I went to a rodeo this weekend and I want to try my hand at roping eventually. It looks like fun and is something I can do with my kids and maybe my husband (who is WAY to competitve for me!) if he agrees to not get mad for missed loops! LOL

Go for it! Horseback riding takes indeed a whole lot more effort than you’d expect. At the riding school I go to every week I sometimes have to ride on a pony who starts acting up when you try to canter, or bites you when you are saddling him.

I’ve never fallen off yet but the feeling of “gosh, if I fall now, it’s going to hurt” is really nasty.

You can do it! Practice makes perfect.
