take at least one trip per month
It's a start

I decided this goal would help push me to travel more (which I love to do, but hate to plan). I made it in late January, so no trip then. The idea is to fit in a lot of short “mini breaks” as my British freinds would call them. Here’s what I have planned so far -

February – NYC with my freind Paul to see the gates, dine out (so far we have reservations at Peter Luger’s, Craft and Cru for dinner, Cafe Gray for lunch, and Aquavit for brunch. Also want to check out Balthazar and Blue Ribbon late night) and see a show (had to pay $200 each for tickets to Avenue Q. OUCH).

March – Going to Munich for work for 2 weeks (during the starkbierfest) and then to Florence for 3 days and Venice for one after that. Stopping in London to meet up with family on the way home.

Late March – Vegas for my brother and sister’s birthdays. This might count as my April trip depending on weather I win or lose.

May – Going to London for work. Still undecided as to side trip. Maybe hourseback riding in Ireland or renting a canal boat to see the English countryside. Might make a trip to Oslo to see my freinds new baby.

Still need to figure out the rest of the year.

July update -

June was a trip to San Francisco for the gay pride parade. Pretty unimpresive. Also spent time at work in Palo Alto.

July and August are still up in the air.

September will be Ibiza, Munich (for the Oktoberfest) and Amsterdam.

October is work in Beijing and possibly a side trip either to Thailand or Shanhi/Hong Kong.
