This is a minority language in France, more like Welsh than any Romance language. It’s the language of an amazing culture and people that hardly anyone outside of France knows about (and not that many inside France as it happens). I can’t wait to have the chance to learn in properly.

its similar to the cornish language
my dad could speak cornish and managed to have a conversation with a breton guy over a pint! not sure how much either of them understood.
also my mother-in -law-to-be is from brittany, it wasnt that long ago that bretton was banned in french schools just like it was in wales. Cornish died out as an everyday language about 200 years ago though many of the place names still exist.Deth da (good day in Cornish)
