New possibility

My mom works with a nurse who goes on one week missions 3-4 times a year to Honduras. She is going to get more information on how to get involved. We discussed going together on a trip next year.

olivep THE THINGS YOU DO TODAY WILL AFFECT YOUR TOMORROWS

This is an excellent career goal

but difficult i think if you have children.

I knew a woman who went to hungary or one of those countries after the chowchesku (spelling) regime. to look after the orphans. I think she found it a very valuable experience.

I also know a french woman who has spent the last 20 years or more working in french territories all around the world as a nurse. New Caledonia, the comorres, French guyanaa, and now Tahiti (i think other plases too). She seems to have been in tahiti for a long time. she obviously loves it. I wish i could afford ot visit her.

If i were you, i would probably want to join the red cross, teh UN or some other large medical org. MSF does excellent work, even if they are french but really they are global now. There are zillion ways you can travel iwth your careeer. I could never be a nurse.
