My last power bill at the house was $320 which i am working on reducing to zero….. The lastest thing i have done to make my house more ‘friendly’ have only been small. Firstly changing to 6-9 watt light bulbs instead of 60-100 watt. Fitting new 5 star water saving taps in the kitchen and bathrooms. Buying a 5 star energy and water saving frontload washing machine. Still more than 200 thing to do!
I’ve been doing this as well – although my first project was insulating the house better. Quite a job. I recently switched to the lower wattage bulbs, as well, and noticed a difference on the first electric bill after doing so. Good luck!
