quit world of warcraft
Done! THANK YOU! 2 years ago

I started playing in April ‘06 as an escape from my problems. It sounds really emo and psychologically wrong but playing this game allowed me to forget about deadlines, friends that I may be having problems with, etc. and therefore allowed me to destress. I got my first level 60 in a few months and began raiding with him… bla bla. Levelled him to 70 REALLY fast (1 week) and raided with him again. I then realized that in the short 10 months I had played, the game had taken over my life. I tried quitting before and I know that merely cancelling my subscription was not going to work.

What did I do? I sold my account. Done. I can’t go back to it ever. If I bought WoW again I’d have to restart from the beginning and I don’t feel like doing that.

I’m still in the first month of quitting but it feels as if a burden has been lifted.
