I’ve finally done a car boot sale!! Managed to sell a whole load of stuff (lots of it at 20p, but still better than a kick in the pants). Amazing what stuff people wanted to buy, whereas the stuff you think would go is still hanging around. The remnants went to recycling/charity shops, so that has cleared a whole load of space in the flat which is great as I could hardly move. Total profit 60 quid! Some books are listed on amazon and are slowly getting sold. I have a bunch of stuff I was thinking of putting on ebay and have to get rid of as I have to move, yet again, in the summer. never tried ebay before…

You had me going there...
There was a cultural hiccup there for a second or two before I figured out you weren’t talking about the gizmo the cops put on your car when you’re parked in the wrong spot. You actually mean “boot” the way the English mean it, or “trunk” of the car as Americans mean it. You had a “tailgate” sale!
I was going to remark that I couldn’t see much of a market for a car boot, good luck to you! LOL
