My husband has also broken things that I cared about, not often but sometimes. I think he feels the need to express his frustration but doesn’t know how else to do it at the moment in time. The last time he threw things was last summer—he threw a few things including a completely new nice bottle of wine which shattered and terrified our dog. But I have to say that he picked up a new Wedgewood teapot that I really loved and when I saw the look of horror on my face that he would break it, he put it down and reached for something else.
