I'm lucky. on visit my grandmother on 43 Things

I'm lucky. 2 years ago

My grandmother lived in the same city as me until I was about 13, and then she moved about 2 hours away. She’s always been close, physically, and because of this, we’re very close emotionally.

She’s 83 now. It’s really inspiring what she’s survived…raising four kids and working, being in the Navy during WWII. Lots of stuff. I’m so lucky to have such a strong woman in my life.

It's one of my favorite family pictures...

My aunt, my cousin (her son), and my grandmother’s on the end.

The family was together for something…a birthday party, I think. Anyway, we all ended up drinking our coffee on my grandmother’s porch. The weather was really nice.

the pic kinda threw me there for a min. The guy looks very much like an old boyfriend, I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t him. Thanks for answering ;) looks like a wonderful time to have on the porch with your family. :)
