pay off my fines and re-join the library (read all 3 entries…)
i did it! finally 4 years ago

i went yesterday. i got a new card ($1.00) and paid my INSANE fine ($48.95) so… after a mere 50 dollars, i have access to the library again. oh how i’ve missed my books!

If it makes you feel any better, I honestly don’t think approx. $50 is an insane fine. Not if you’re a book fiend, which you obviously are. I know I have payed several times that in fines over the years, and I’ve paid more than that at one go as well (sucks when you lose their books…)

Glad you can take advantage of one of the few really good public institutions again…
