Can't really say I'm done, but I'm a veteran
I kissed my wife for the first time under the Market clock. That made be a believer. I worked 2 blocks from the market for 3 years and became a devotee. Now my family spends almost every Saturday or Sunday at the market. Our haunts?
- La Panier – for the petit de’j to kick things off
- De Laurenti – for mortadella, pancetta, french ham, and usually lunch in the cafe
- Franks produce – a standard stop
- Jack’s Fish Spot – for the steamers and cioppino
- The Crumpet Shop – cozy tea and crumpet
- Thomas the clown – for a baloon hat
- The magazine stand
Matt’s in the Market is on the 2nd floor of the sanitary market, across from the clock and next door to Chez Shea. Matt’s is my favorite place in all of Seattle.
