But...
what if just your forearm gets lost, not the whole arm, and you’ve had your contact details tattoed on your upper arm? Bit stuck then :) I’d get your details tattooed twice on each limb, one above and below the joints… of course that then brings into question fingers and toes, do you get each one tattoed, or are you willing to just have them lost?
Hehe, such a silly concept, although I have heard of an elderly woman who was so worried they’d get her details wrong, she went out and had ‘DNR’ (do not resuscitate) tattooed on her chest.

so why take chances? Maybe you could have cables surgically implanted so that they span each joint. That way if, say, the tip of your ring finger falls off, the cable will catch it and it will just flop about until you can have it reattached.
And oh! think of the cosmetic possibilities!
