I lived in Corpus Christi Texas (very windy and warm warm water) for many decades and windsurfed and kitesurfed for 15 years, almost every single day. I miss it.

Kitesurfing is more difficult to learn. Period. Whom ever tells you otherwise is either fooling themselves or has some agenda.

Start windsurfing is light wind in calm water, preferably someplace that you can stand up in the water.
