metta practice is all that keeps me sane some days

I’m curious what metta is. Also, that photo of u with the horns on looks a lot like ME! I used to have brown hair-I’ve dyed it so much I don’t know what the real color is! I hope u don’t think this is strange! Sorry, I just felt compelled to tell u that. They say everyone has a twin!

“Metta” is the Pali word that means “lovingkindness”. There’s a formal meditation practice in Buddhism that’s designed to cultivate the quality of lovingkindness in yourself.

Thanks for the link-i’ll check it after this. I’ve been into buddhism for 12 years after being introduced to it in a college course. I used to go meditate at a zendo in Philadelphia. Another time I studied Shambalah and practiced meditation at their center in Philly. It all comes down to compassion—I really need to get practicing meditation again so I can get some serenity!! Thanks for teaching me something new!
