learn to like vegetables
small steps...

I’ve been slowly integrating spinach into my diet…in wraps, sandwiches, omelets and the like. My next conquest will be broccoli. Shudder.

Comments:

Yay for spinach!

That’s the one veggie that I’ve been getting used to also. I’m working on peppers now. You’re brave for taking on broccoli!

Nirvana

I finally reached the point where I like every single vegetable on the planet. It’s usually a question of getting it fresh enough and then preparing it properly, alhtough usually drenched in butter with some lemon juice and salt and pepper will usually do the trick

Amazing

I love veggies, but Unfortunately can not stand brussels. THose sprouts not only smell bad, but they taste foul as well. Anything else, bring it on. I particularly like the spicy taste of parsnips.

point considered

brussel sprouts can be particularly nasty, especially when old or badly prepared. HOWEVER, even b.s. (brussel sprouts, I mean) can be tasty when properly grown and prepared. You are unlikely to find nice sprouts in a store. BUT, if you grow them at home AND wait til after a few frosts (when they turn sweet) and you just pick little ones, soak in salt wtare for at least 1/2 hour, then rinse and then simply steam or boil very quickly then serve with butter, or with butter garlic and bread crumbs, you would be surprised at how very very very good they can be. Like with parsnips, best eaten when homegrown, taken from cold ground.

If

i ever get any brussels in that condition, I mightbe tempted to try again, but for now, I am steering clear of that particular veggie…

blech!
