learn to shoot a pistol
I did 2 years ago

target shooting (olympic style) with my husband many times, since he belonged to a club. I also took my concealed weapon permit, after a 2-day class. As a sport, I can see where some poeple might enjoy this. My sons enjoy it in varying degrees, as a sport. For self-protection, I prefer to use my mind, my intuition, and my voice. It’s worked so far.

I read in Freakonomics that a swimming pool is more dangerous than a gun, and that Switzerland has the highest rate of gun ownership despite it being one of the most civilized nation on Earth. What does this all boil down to.. I have no idea.

That's interesting!

You know that the highest quality target shooting guns are made in Switzerland. Maybe their gun ownership (which I’m sure is calculated per capita) has more to do with high quality Swiss target shooting guns. Or do they have some animals that need to be hunted to stop them from overpopulating? Just a thought…
