I got a reply back from the magazine. No luck. Better find somewhere else to send the piece (or perhaps it needs a little work).

I’m not particularly worried at this stage, given it’s my first one. A little disappointed, perhaps, but there’ll be certainly other opportunities.

My friends will tell you if there’s one thing I am, it’s optimistic.
