I did years of French in uni but had gotten a bit rusty and was too proud to put myself in the firing line and enrol on another course – but I did, and it was really worth it!! I have a new-found enthusiasm for all things francophone, and a warm fuzzy feeling for having the strength to swallow my pride and admit to needing help in something I’m supposed to be good at :)
